Today, the Loudoun Knights are pleased to announce that Ryan Burke will be the head coach for the 16U UA Team for the 23/24 season.

This will be Coach Burke's 3rd season with the Knights, and second as a head coach. This will also be Ryan's 3rd season coaching at the 16U Level.

Ryan Burke is a native of Western Pennsylvania and has been playing hockey since the age of five. Ryan played AA hockey for the Reston Raiders and AAA for the Washington Little Capitals while growing up in Northern Virginia. He went on to play collegiate hockey at George Mason University.

"Ryan really loves coaching and pours all his passion for the sport into his players", says Loudoun Knights Hockey Director Craig Desjarlais. "Ryan offers our 16U players a unique perspective in development, accountability and work ethic utilizing both his experiences in hockey and the Military."

After graduating from GMU, Coach Burke joined the United States Marine Corps from 2001 - 2009. His coaching philosophy focuses on developing the players both mentally and physically, while keeping the game fun for the kids. Coach Burke believes hockey offers many life lessons for our kids and values the opportunity to be impactful as both a coach and mentor.
