The Knights are delighted to announce that Coach Jessica Huff  will be returning the Knights organization as a co-head coach for the 23/24 Fall 8U AA team.

Coach Huff is a Northern Virginia native, born and raised in Loudoun County. A product of Reston Raiders and Ashburn Inline hockey programs, she’s loved seeing hockey grow and thrive in the area over the years. Jess was captain of the University of Virginia Women’s Hockey team that won back-to-back DVCHC Women’s Division I championships her third and fourth year and also played club lacrosse at UVA. Jess was a founding coach during Ion’s inaugural season and this will be her 7th year as a youth hockey coach.

“There isn’t a hockey coach in this building that has had a bigger impact on the grassroots level of hockey here at Ion than Coach Jess”, said Loudoun Knights Hockey Director Craig Desjarlais. “The 8U level is the foundation of our club and Jess has done an amazing job developing these young players, but more importantly supporting their growth and keeping the game fun. Aside from her incredible ability to teach the game at this level, she is a true mentor for these young boys and girls and exemplifies everything the Knights stand for”.

In 22/23 Jess's 8U AA team had a very successful season winning multiple tournaments, while developing her players physical and mental skills. Passionate about fundamentals, player development, and inclusion, Jess looks forward to the continued growth of the Knights program.

Coach Huff is currently a USA Hockey Level 3 Coach. Jess is married and has two children who both play for the Loudoun Knights!
