We are excited to announce that Chad Watkins will return to the club as the head coach for the 10U AA team for the 2023/24 Season. The Knights will have three teams at the 10U level next season. The 10U AA team will compete in both the CBHL and the EJEPL Diamond Division.

"Chad is very passionate about youth hockey and did a great job developing the players on his 10U UA team last season", says Loudoun Knights Hockey Director Craig Desjarlais. "The Knights future is very bright with a very talented crop of 2013 players and rising 2014 players who are eager to continue their hockey development at the 10U level."

Coach Watkins is a Virginia native and a very accomplished youth hockey player who played for the Reston Raiders before moving on to play Tier 1 hockey for the Washington Little Caps. After youth hockey, he played four years at Virginia Tech where he served as Team Captain and part time player coach in his senior year.

Watkins has also worked as a certified player agent and family advisor, advising players and their families through junior and/or collegiate hockey and representing players from the NHL, AHL, and ECHL as well as several of the European leagues. He is the COO of XLNTbrain LLC and supplies concussion baseline testing for all the Loudoun Knights players prior to the beginning of the season.

Coach Watkins is extremely dedicated to the Loudoun Knights and has been coaching at Ion since youth hockey started in the facility in 2019.

Welcome back, Coach Watkins!
