The Loudoun Knights are excited to announce Ryan Burke will return to the club as the Head Coach for the 16U LA team for the 2022/23 Season. The Knights will have three teams at the 16U level next season. The 16U LA team will compete in the CBHL and the EJEPL.

Ryan has been playing hockey since the age of five and played both AA and AAA hockey in Northern Virginia.  Additionally, Ryan played collegiately at George Mason University.

Following High School, Ryan spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps, where he served in a Reconnaissance unit including multiple tours to Iraq.

“Ryan is a natural leader given his impressive military experience serving his country”, says Loudoun Knights Hockey Director Craig Desjarlais. “Burkie wanted to coach this team to continue building upon their development from last season and because he cares deeply about the kids and the families he coached last season. After spending a season as an assistant coach he is confident he’s ready to lead a team on his own during the 22/23 season, and is excited to continue giving back to this great sport utilizing his hockey knowledge and extensive military experience with the USMC”.

Ryan looks to combine his military background and hockey experience into his coaching philosophy which will encourage accountability, team culture and team cohesiveness.

Please welcome Ryan Burke as the Head Coach for the 16U LA Team for the 22/23 season!
