Coach Paul Veillette, as he will be leading the 16U UA Team as their head coach for the 22/23 season

The Loudoun Knights are pleased to welcome back Coach Paul Veillette, as he will be leading the 16U UA Team as their head coach for the 22/23 season. The 16U UA Team will compete in the CBHL and the EJEPL.

  “Regionally, there may not be a more accomplished hockey guy than Paul Veillette”, says Loudoun Knights Hockey Director Craig Desjarlais. “A year ago, we were fortunate to have Paul walk into Ion eager to be a part of the Knights organization and bring along with him a lifetime of hockey knowledge and experience. Watching the weekly growth of Paul’s 14U Team this season was incredible. The team was unrecognizable in March from where they began in August. That was a true testament to Paul’s development of these young men and women during the 21/22 season”.

  Paul Veillette grew up playing AAA youth in Northern Ontario, Canada, before playingJunior A hockey in Ontario, and Alberta. After Junior hockey Veillette was invited to participate in a select free agent camp. He played pre-season games in the WCHL before returning to Canada to study Sports Administration at Durham College. 

  In 1999 he launchedCanadian Hockey Connection teaching camps and clinics in Southern Ontario, and Eastern United States. From there he went on to become the Hockey Director at Skate Frederick (MD) from 2000 to 2004. After a successful tenure in Frederick, he moved down to Virginia to lead the Virginia Statesmen AAA Tier 1 and Junior Programs and served as the Hockey Director at SkateQuest Reston.

  Coach Veillette has worked with USA hockey as a regional CEP coaching instructor and as a regional evaluator for the developmental program. Over two decades of coaching, Veillette has coached several CBHL AA, and girls’ division championship teams, and led two teams to the USA Hockey National Championships.

 Veillette is the current director of the Mason Dixon Elite Girls program and is a senior on ice instructor with Hockey Ministries International out of Montreal, Quebec.
