Hagen Nemzek will be the head coach of the 16U AA and the 14U LA teams for the upcoming 22/23 season

The Loudoun Knights are excited to announce Hagen Nemzek will be the head coach of the 16U AA and the 14U LA teams for the upcoming 22/23 season. Hagen is widely recognized as one of the region's top skill development and power skating coaches.

 Hagen is a Northern Virginia native with over 20 years of playing experience. Hagen grew up playing hockey for the Reston Raiders which led to a lengthy junior career with multiple stops all over the United States and then played professionally for a couple seasons in Sweden for Aker/Strangnas HC. Some of his accomplishments include AWHL Champion, 3x NVSHL AllStar, CHA Scoring/Point Leader and Sweden Div 2 AllStar Selection.  

 “Adding Hagen to the Knights coaching staff will not only benefit his team but the entire organization as a whole”, says Loudoun Knights Hockey Director Craig Desjarlais. “Hagen has positively impacted so many players in this region over the years as their skills coach and directly impacted their advancement to Tier 1 hockey and beyond. Hagen is excited to bring his family back to Ion and help us continue to grow and develop this program”.

 Hagen is a level 4 certified USA Hockey Coach, USA Hockey Director Certified and has experience coaching from youth to the junior level not only in North America but also Internationally.. His coaching philosophy is to create a positive, high-paced, fun environment that is suitable for developing well-balanced hockey players and teammates. As a coach, he strives to be both a mentor and teacher to each player, instilling a strong work ethic, commitment to goal setting, and respect for the game.
